Mittens or Gloves?
We graphed if we wore mittens or gloves today as an extension to our Nursery Rhyme,
3 Little Kittens Have Lost Their Mittens!
Buddy time!
Martin Luther King Jr.
We met with our buddies and watched a short video about Martin Luther King Jr. dreams.
We then paired up with our 2nd grade buddies and wrote our own dreams for 2011!
Second Step Lesson
Empathy Training:
Concept-
*people vary in what they want to do, and they may change their minds later
Objectives-
Children will be able to...
*recognize that others may have different wants or likes
*recognize tat what a person wants or likes may change
We discussed that people like some things better than others, and they like to do different things at different times. A friend is still a friend, even when they want to do something different from you.

Marvelous Monday
Today we introduced the nursery rhyme, Three Little Kittens. Students then acted out the nursery rhyme with props. They did a great job!
Some students enjoyed the jelly bean sensory tub to review last week's sound, J.
During station rotations, these students worked to create their own snow globes!
