Concept: A person may feel differently about the same situation at different times.
Objectives: Children will be able to recognize that their feeling about a situation may change.
We looked at a picture of Jessie on the playground. We talked about how her feelings have changed about the rings/monkey bars. When she started Kindergarten, she didn't like the rings because she fell off of them and scraped her knee and they hurt her hands. Now that she was older and she had practiced, she really liked the rings. Her feeling had changed!
We discussed times in our own life where our feelings had changed. Such as our first day of Pre-K! We were once a little nervous but now we LOVE coming to Pre-K! Our feelings have changed too!
