Happy Birthday, Justin!

Happy Birthday, Justin! Today we celebrated Justin's birthday. Justin's mother brought in delicious muffins and read to us the perfect story to go along with our treat, If you Give a Moose a Muffin. Thank you for such a treat!

We also began our character education program, Second Step, today. Students were shown pictures and were asked, "how is this child feeling?", "how do you know the child is angry?", "Have you ever felt this way?", "Is it okay to be sad, angry or even disgusted?". More information was sent home in your child's folder today regarding this program and today's lesson. Throughout the year we will be using this program to explore polite and kind ways to solve problems with friends, initiate play, read and understand each others' feelings and develop empathy.
