Today students took a field trip to the dinning hall. We met Mr. Ray and all the important helpers that cook and prepare our meals each day here at Academy. We were able to explore the kitchen, saw all the equipment and tools the chefs use and even took a quick walk into the enormous freezer and pantry. The large dishwasher was also very impressive. Thank you, Mr. Ray for a great visit!
Today was also our first Zero the Hero day! Jakob's mom came in earlier this week to trace our hands and melt crayon shavings. Today we were able to glue together all these pieces to create a great owl sun catcher that was of course in the shape of a zero. We had such a great time learning all about Zero the Hero and singing our hero's song. Thanks again to Jakob's mother for a great first Zero the Hero craft!
